I take the protection of your personal data very seriously. I treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations (GDPR, Austrian DSG, TKG) as well as this privacy policy.
When you use this website, various personal data are collected. Personal data is any data with which you can be personally identified. This privacy policy explains what data I collect and what I use it for. It applies to all visits to this website via the domains dataschnitzel.at and szilagyi.at.

2. Data Collection on This Website
Web Hosting (World4You)
This website is hosted by World4You Internet Services GmbH (Hafenstraße 35, 4020 Linz, Austria). When you visit this website, the server automatically collects general information in so-called server log files. This includes:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
- Hostname of the accessing computer (IP address)
- Time of the server request
This data is required for the technical operation and security of the website and is automatically deleted after a maximum of 30 days. The legal basis for this processing is my legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. I have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with my hosting provider.
Cookies and Analytics
This website is designed to function without any cookies that require consent. No marketing or tracking cookies from third-party providers are set. The plugin used for multilingual functionality (Polylang) has been configured so that it does not store any cookies.
Anonymous Analytics (Plausible Analytics): For the statistical evaluation of visitor traffic, I use the privacy-friendly analytics tool Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia). Plausible does not collect IP addresses, does not set cookies, and does not store any personal data whatsoever. All data is processed entirely anonymously, simply to see which blog posts are popular. Consent is not required for this (legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR – legitimate interest in optimizing my web offerings).
Contact Form / Email Contact
If you send me inquiries via the contact form (Contact Form 7) or email, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact data you provide there (name, email address), will be stored by me for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. This data will be deleted once your inquiry has been fully processed, but no later than 6 months, provided that no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.
Email dispatch from my system is encrypted and handled via the servers of my hosting provider World4You (via FluentSMTP). I do not share this data without your consent. The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (if the inquiry serves to fulfill or prepare a contract) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the efficient processing of inquiries).
Spam Protection with Cloudflare Turnstile
To protect my forms from automated spam and bots, I use the Cloudflare Turnstile service provided by Cloudflare Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Turnstile analyzes visitor behavior in the background (e.g., IP address, duration of visit, mouse movements) to distinguish human users from bots, without setting cookies that require consent. This data processing is based on my legitimate interest in the security and spam prevention of my website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Since data may be transferred to the USA, this is based on the EU Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
Comment Function
On this website, you can leave comments on posts. If you leave a comment, your name, your email address, and the time the comment was submitted will be stored in addition to the text of the comment. Your email address will not be published. Your IP address will be stored for a duration of 6 months and then automatically deleted; it serves exclusively for security purposes and spam prevention.
The storage of comments and the associated data is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time by contacting me via email. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out before the revocation remains unaffected. Published comments will remain on the website until you request their deletion or until I remove them at my own discretion.
3. Third-Party Providers and Plugins
YouTube (with Enhanced Data Protection)
I embed videos from the YouTube platform on some pages of my website (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). For this, I use the enhanced data protection mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
This prevents YouTube from setting cookies or storing data about your user behavior as long as you do not actively start the video. Data is only transferred to YouTube’s servers once you click on the video, over which I have no control. The legal basis for embedding is my legitimate interest in providing engaging visual content (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Social Media Sharing Links
Buttons for sharing content on LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), and Facebook are integrated into this website. These are pure text or image links and not the native plugins of the social media corporations. Simply visiting this website does not transfer any data to these platforms. You will only be redirected to the respective service’s page when you actively click on one of the buttons.
Google Fonts (Local)
I integrate fonts (Google Fonts) locally via my own server, optimized by the OMGF plugin. There is no connection to Google’s servers, and no data is transferred to Google.
4. Your Rights
You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipient, and purpose of your stored personal data at any time, free of charge. You also have the right to request the correction, restriction of processing, data portability, or deletion of this data, provided that no statutory retention obligations prevent it. To exercise these rights, or if you have further questions about data protection, simply contact me via email. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, dsb.gv.at).
